Terms and Conditions – P E Moran Ltd

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all plumbing and gas services provided by P E Moran Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.


1. About Us

P E Moran Ltd is a limited company providing plumbing and gas engineering services across Hertfordshire, London, and surrounding areas.

2. Services

We provide domestic and commercial plumbing and gas services including boiler installation, servicing, repairs, landlord certificates, and general plumbing work.
All work is carried out by qualified Gas Safe registered engineers.


3. Estimates and Pricing

  • All prices are as stated on our current price list or provided in writing before work begins.

  • Call-out charges cover the first hour of labour; rates vary by time and day.

  • Additional time, parts, and materials are charged accordingly.

  • Any quote or estimate provided is valid for 30 days and may be adjusted if material costs or circumstances change.


4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Customers have up to 30 days from the invoice date to make full payment.

  • Accepted payment methods: cash, card, or bank transfer.

  • Ownership of parts or materials supplied remains with P E Moran Ltd until full payment is received.

  • If payment is not received within 30 days, interest may be charged under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily until payment is made in full.

  • We reserve the right to take legal action to recover unpaid amounts, materials, or costs arising from non-payment.


5. Cancellations

  • If you cancel or reschedule an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a call-out fee may still apply.

  • Emergency call-outs cannot be cancelled once the engineer is en route.


6. Warranty and Guarantee

  • All workmanship is guaranteed for 3 months from the date of completion.

  • This guarantee excludes:

    • Faults caused by third-party interference or tampering.

    • Pre-existing issues or unrelated system faults (e.g. burst old pipework).

    • Parts or materials supplied by the customer.

  • Parts supplied by P E Moran Ltd carry the manufacturer’s warranty only. Customers are responsible for any costs relating to claims under a manufacturer’s guarantee (e.g. labour or shipping).


7. Parts and Materials

  • Unless agreed otherwise, all materials and parts are supplied by us.

  • If you choose to provide your own parts, we accept no liability for their quality, suitability, or any damage or faults caused as a result.


8. Liability

  • We take all reasonable care when carrying out our work.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing problems, wear-and-tear faults, or issues arising from system defects beyond our control.

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses (such as property damage or loss of profit) unless caused by our negligence.


9. Complaints

We will respond promptly and aim to resolve all matters fairly and professionally.


10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
